Today was not just an ordinary day for us. We just surpassed the great challenge everyone is waiting and nervous for—the presentation of Greek Gods and Goddesses in our English Class. Two days ago, I don’t have any clothes to wear yet so I was crying hardly. The pressure did sink in me and it really irked me. I was thinking if I’ll rent for Php500 for just three to four minutes of performance? Or have a new sewed one and buy it? Either way, I’m an idiot if I did so. On my way home, I was thinking hardly where will I get those clothes I need. I can’t hardly sleep that night. Early morning, my first thought when I wake up was still the clothes I have to wear the other day. I just have that day to wait for a ‘miracle’,I guess. I am physically present in school but my mind is wandering at home thinking of dresses I could wear and maybe give it a bit remedy for it to look like a Goddess cloth or whatsoever. When I got home, I went to the closet and eagerly looked for clothes then I saw that white long flowery dress my Mom gave me. Got a needle and thread, I sewed the dress for about 30minutes and had improvised tied ribbons on those flip flops.
Out of 87 performers, I was the 82nd so I waited for almost 3 hours. During the performance, I was quite nervous and unfortunately, I forgot the last 3 lines! Anyway, it’s not that important so it’s okay. I just pretended that everything’s going alright and didn’t show that I forgot something. Whew :3
After my performance, I’m still shaking and nervous. But there I had a big grin on my face, not only because I succeed but also I have saved and learned to be practical, more creative and resourceful. Life is fun but not easy as 1,2 and 3. It's sweet but not enough as licking a double scoop chocolate ice cream. It's all about enjoyment but not as chewing a palm of roasted peanuts. Life is a game, but not just a mere survival challenge on Plants Vs. Zombies. Just learn to deal with it and for sure, you will be happy. Believe in yourself and you will be. :)
Here I am. The Goddess of the hunt,
ARTEMIS.
